Our Mission

To glorify God by advancing the gospel of Christ through the aggressive establishment of God-enamored neighborhood churches founded on God’s Word, dependent upon His Spirit and fully consumed in the cause of Christ.

Our Vision

Our vision is two-fold:

First, the establishment a church planting group called the Lumen Foundation. Our vision is to so-fill the Columbus area with vibrant, gospel-centered churches, that the whole of the Columbus and surrounding areas are illuminated with the message of the Gospel itself and the lives transformed by it.  It is our prayerful hope that God will enable and transform this illumination into revival.  This is accomplished by making the Gospel known to the people of each church’s target area primarily through  relationships and localized mercy ministries.  Illumination will  not be measured by a single point in time.  It is measured in an enduring presence and reputation.  The vision is to not only see this happen in Columbus but also in strategic towns and cities of Ohio.

Second, the planting of the first two churches of the Lumen Foundation. Our vision is to personally plant and pastor the first two churches of the foundation.  The first being led by Scott Burns and assisted by Ken Flower, with Ken starting the second church within the first 18 months.
